Let’s not miss the point
On this Easter day
But come together as one
In worship, prayer, and praise.
Let’s not miss the calling
To exalt the Anointed One,
Celebrating the resurrection
Of God’s Only Son.
Let’s not miss the point
With food and enjoyment
But live the truths in our hearts
Of His blessed atonement.
Let’s not miss the point
Simply getting through the day
But treat this as holy, special
Putting God on display.
Let’s not miss the point
There is a war being raged
But to see it, to believe it
We must be engaged.
Let’s not miss the calling
Christ has risen from the grave!
Death is buried, is no more
By His blood we are saved!
Let’s not miss the point
Keeping this as our secret
But share it joyfully
Praying many will receive Him!
