I will not think on empty drivel

Your Word I won’t resist.

I will call upon You and You will hear me

From the depths of my soul will I cry

For You are much greater than my biggest problem

Your help I won’t deny.

I will call upon You as the day is beginning

I will not face life alone

For You are the Designer, You specialize in giving –

Oh take me to your throne!

I will call upon You at midday

When the bird song I finally hear

Reminding me that there is freedom worth living

If I would give ear.

I will not bother with other professes

You have my soul claimed.

I will call upon You as life winds down

Preparing for night to come

For You let me lie down, sleep in safety

Though my heart is numb.

I will call upon You in the midnight hour

When no one is around

For You do not cower but deliver,

Answering its deafening sound.
